Who is Uncle NOON?
I was born in Brussels. From the age of 6 to 16, my childhood was all about playing football outside with friends and making the most of every moment. As soon as I got home from school at 3 p.m., I would head straight out to have fun.
Everything changed when I turned 16. A personal tragedy deeply affected me and shifted something inside. Suddenly, I stopped playing football, started going out less and less—even though that’s usually the age when people go out more—and instead, I discovered music through online videos. I became completely immersed in it. Music became my escape, my way of staying in my bubble. Maybe it was a kind of therapy to help me forget what had happened. A bad thing that led to something good…
At 18, I started university, and it opened my mind a bit more to the world. Music never left me—and I never left music. It’s a passion, something that makes me feel truly alive.
In 2015, I began posting remixes—including Michael Jackson’s They Don’t Care About Us—on my Facebook page and on YouTube. From that moment on, the music I made no longer belonged to me. It became yours. What I know about music isn’t just mine anymore. It’s yours too.
Uncle NOON.
